At Tarmon National School, we offer a wide variety of opportunities within the Arts Education Curriculum, ensuring every child has a chance to express themselves creatively and grow in confidence.

Music:
Through our partnership with Music Generation Ireland, our music teacher Padraig visits each class weekly to deliver high-quality music tuition. Pupils from Junior Infants to Sixth Class enjoy learning singing, ukulele and guitar, developing musical skills that stay with them for life.

Drama:
In December 2024, we staged our first ever musical, The Wizard of Oz. This hugely successful production gave children an unforgettable chance to engage in drama and music while building confidence, teamwork, and social skills.

Visual Arts:
We regularly collaborate with local artists and volunteers, including through the Teacher-Artist Partnership (TAP) residencies and local community groups. These workshops harness the children’s voice and vision to produce beautiful artwork proudly displayed throughout our school, celebrating every child’s creativity.
